Mutilevel marketing is legal. Pyramids are illegal.

Some people that come across the Viridian Energy residual income opportunity will be hesitant as soon as they hear about the Viridian Energy MLM business model. They will quickly say what is often said when it comes to network marketing.
"Is this one of those pyramids?"
Associates representing Viridian Energy and other energy suppliers that use network marketing to promote their company will hear that question more often than the traditional companies in the industry.
Customers of third party energy suppliers and their prospects will be larger than any group in the MLM industry. The reason is that everyone that uses electricity are either customers, future associates, or both. Not everyone can feel comfortable marketing clothing, health drinks, juices, or make up but everyone uses electricity! So, you have a larger prospect list and you will undoubtedly be confronted with the pyramid scam question.
Do not be too harsh or too quick to judge those that react this way.
They are mentioning it because, they just do not know.
They are waiting to hear your rebuttal. In essence they are saying, "If it is not a pyramid, then lets hear it. Enlighten me!"
You could start by explaining why so many companies started using this type of business model in the first place.
Residual income opportunities through network marketing started in the 90s. Several fortune 500 companies started using the network marketing business model because they found that it is an efficient way to introduce products to the marketplace. They found that marketing this way bypasses multiple layers of middle men and paid advertising that would add to the cost of delivering goods and services.
In many cases just saying that would be sufficient. However, you will not get off the hook that easy by just explaining that to skeptics.
The next question might be "Why are they referred to as pyramids?" or "Do all the people at the top make all the money?"
Plain and simple, If you have a legitimate product or service; you have a legitimate business.
Mutilevel marketing is legal. Pyramids are illegal.
A pyramid is when someone ask you to invest money into something and tell you that you will get a percentage of the money back but products and services never exchange hands.
They usually cost a lot to invest in and the chances of you making any of the money back that you have invested are slim.
Viridian Energy is supplying 100% green energy to your electric company which lowers the customers monthly bill.
The Viridian associate that acquired the customers earns a residual income from his customers and compensation by teaching others how to build their own business as well.
However, the pyramid argument will have two parts. "Well, it is shaped like a pyramid!" and the answer to that question is also a question, "What is not shaped like a pyramid?"
When referring to network marketing, professor of marketing Charles W. King of the university of Illinois says:
"The corporation is the best example of a pyramid because the people at the top make all the money.
The CEO always earns more than the president and other top executives; who always earn more than the middle management below them; who always earns more than the employees below them."
King goes on to say that network marketing is a business model that empowers everyone with the same leverage as a corporate CEO!
For example, imagine one day at the place you work there is a program that you will be able to participate in that was created by upper management. In this program, you no longer have to come into the office.
You can work from home because you have internet access and an online support system will be in place.
All employees will be taught everything about the company and the business so that everyone will help build the business.
The revenues will be shared with the employees that recruit good productive employees and the more your portion of the company produces, the more money your team will earn.
The bonus for helping the company become more profitable is that you will be scheduled for an earlier retirement within the next 2 to 3 years and you will continue to get paid a percentage of the production from your team or network even after you retire.
Would you like to work for that company? That is exactly how the network marketing business works!
The company pays each associate a percentage on their own sales and sales within their marketing team. The people who build the largest and most productive teams earn the most.
Residual income opportunities with Network marketing provides the potential to build a multi-million dollar business that could pay you hundreds of thousands of dollars in passive income... year after year.
In closing, whether you looking into the Viridian Energy Opportunity or any other legitimate opportunity remember this before you make a poor decision on why you can not or would not go into business for yourself.
If you continue to do what you have always done - you will continue to get what you have always gotten.
If you do not take the next step what will change?
Build something for yourself. It is just that simple!

Health Benefits from Going Green

25 Instant Health Benefits of Going Green

by Miranda on September 27, 2009
We all hear about how going green is good for the planet, and that we should be taking good care of the Earth. However, we rarely hear about the importance of going green on our health. Much of the debate focuses on issues like global warming and environmental sustainability. But going green isn’t something that only benefits the Earth. There are very real benefits that you can enjoy as far as your health is concerned. Here are 25 health benefits of going green:

Reducing Energy Use and Using Alternative Energy

BlueMarble-2001-2002Much of our energy comes from fossil fuels that can cause a number of problems beyond global warming. When we reduce our energy use, and when we use alternative energy, there are some tangible health benefits that come along with the territory.
  1. Breathe easier. Pollution can enhance asthma and allergies. It is also linked to lung cancer. Going green can help clean the air space, and improve your ability to breathe.
  2. Heart healthy. Some of the particulates in the air that come from pollution caused by fossil fuels can actually contribute to heart disease and other cardiac issues. Reducing pollution with greener energy practices can actually help your heart.
  3. Infectious diseases. The spread of infectious diseases can be exacerbated through global warming as the by-products of our energy use are released. You can help slow the spread of pandemics by reducing your energy use.
  4. Reduce acid rain. Pollution from industrial energy use, as well as home energy use that creates increased demand, can cause acid rain. Indeed, since the implementation of the Clean Air Act, the incidence of harmful acid rain has been reduced.
  5. Let in the sun. Instead of relying wholly on artificial lighting, you can let in the sunlight. Open your shades and let natural lighting help you reduce your energy needs and let the sun’s health benefits help you. Natural lighting helps your calcium absorption, and there have been studies done on the helpfulness of natural sunlight on your mental health and mood.
  6. Worker deaths. Energy production with fossil fuels results in hundreds of worker deaths each year. Oil rigs and coal mines are notoriously unsafe and damaging to worker health. Increasing green energy use could mean that jobs in safer, healthier environments could replace the dangerous and dirty jobs related to fossil fuels.

Changing Your Transportation Habits

The way you get from point A to point B can have an impact on your health. Changing your transportation habits can actually help you improve your health, in addition to reducing the pollution that harms the Earth.
  1. Ride your bike. Riding your bike to work can provide you with good exercise. This exercise can lead to increased heart health and a number of other benefits, including weight loss.
  2. Take the bus. If you are not quite up to riding your bike to work, you can take public transportation. This will cut down on pollution, and it will give you some exercise as you walk to and from your stops.
  3. Meet other people. Social interactions can help us stave off depression. You can improve your mental health when you interact with neighbors as you ride the bus or carpool.
  4. Increase your productivity. Make the most of your commute with public transportation. This can help you get more done on the commute, since you won’t be driving. And when you are more productive, you have more time at home to relax and be with your family, allowing you stress reduction and increased mental wellness.
  5. Work from home. If your company will let you, you can reduce pollution by avoiding a commute altogether. Working from home can put you at ease, save you time, and prevent you from being exposed to unhealthy air.
  6. Enjoy nature. Biking or walking to the bus stop can give you an opportunity to interact with nature. Being outside, and seeing plants and small animals can actually help improve your health. Contact with nature can enhance mood, reduce mental fatigue and increase concentration.

Buying Local Food and Avoiding Pre-Packaged Food

In addition to activities that can reduce pollution directly, going green can be done through how you eat. You can increase your health by choosing foods that are greener, and by buying local foods.
  1. Avoid pesticides. Pesticides on foods that are not certified organic can cause sickness and other health issues. When you choose produce that is organically grown, it is better for the environment, and for your health.
  2. Stay away from pre-packaged foods. Not only do pre-packaged foods use materials and energy, but they are often full of excess sodium and sugar and empty calories. Avoiding pre-packaged foods not only helps the environment, but it can also help you improve your health by reducing your intake of things that cause obesity, heart disease and cancer.
  3. Drink non-bottled water. Bottled water uses resources and energy. Additionally, chemicals from the plastic bottles can leach into water and cause health problems. Drink more water, but get it filtered from the tap and make use of special rated reusable water bottles.
  4. Get produce locally. One of the best things you can do for your health is buy local produce. Produce from far off is often picked before it is ripe. Some studies suggest that allowing produce to ripen on the plant increases its nutrient content.
  5. Reduce meat consumption. The amount of energy used to bring meat to the table is rather large, and contributes to pollution and environmental degradation. Additionally, the over-consumption of meat can lead to health problems in humans. Cut back your meat consumption to something more moderate, and you will see a reduction in heart disease, obesity and other health problems.
  6. Wild caught and free range meat and fish. Wild caught fish and free range chickens and grass-fed cows are usually raised with more environmentally sustainable methods. Additionally, organic meat and eggs are often not infused with hormones, while having an increase in some nutrients. This can contribute to your health, by helping you avoid chemicals and hormones, as well as create leaner meat that is healthier.

Household Products

What you have in your home can impact your health. Many of the products and chemicals we use in the home are not only bad for the environment, but also harmful to our health.
  1. Avoid harmful fertilizers. What you put on your lawn can affect your health and the health of the environment. Rain can wash the chemicals into the water supply and they can seep into the ground. Additionally, if you are not careful, you can get the chemicals on your body and in your food if you get your garden. Use environmentally friendly fertilizers, or use organic means, such as mulching, to help keep your lawn healthy.
  2. Stop using harmful insecticides. Like fertilizers, insecticides can cause health problems. You can increase your health — and your children’s health — by stopping the use of these insecticides. There are recipes for environmentally friendly insecticides, and other products that can help you control pests.
  3. Clean with healthier household cleaners. Many cleaning products that you purchase at the store have harmful chemicals. These can cause headaches, respiratory problems and enhance other health issues. You might notice a difference when you stop using these chemicals and replace them with non-toxic household cleaners, some of which you can use at home.
  4. Consider your paint: Many paints release compounds into the air of your home that can be harmful. Choosing high-quality paint for your home’s interior, with a low-incidence of volatile organic compounds can help you reduce headaches and breathe easier.
  5. Use different diapers. There are estimates that viruses can live in disposable diapers up to two weeks. Sanitation can be a real issue. Additionally, infections and diaper rash can affect the health of you baby. Using cloth diapers instead for most needs can reduce environmental impact and help the health of your baby.
  6. Be wary of plastic containers. Some studies suggest that contaminants found in some plastics can cause fertility issues and other health problems. Storing your food in these containers can be damaging to your health, just as their production is damaging the the environment. Use environmentally friendly containers for food storage and reduce harmful effects to your health.
  1. Your financial health. Finally, going green can be good for your wallet. You can save money by making your own household products, as well as save money on transportation costs when you adopt green practices. And, of course, when you are physically healthy, you save money on insurance and medical expenses.

Green Energy Benefits

Green energy or renewable energy has a host of social, environmental, and economic benefits. To be truly sustainable, an energy source must meet these criteria:
  • minimal or no negative environmental or social impact.
  • little or no net carbon or other greenhouse gas emissions.
  • protect air, land and water.
  • not deplete natural resources.
  • not burden future generations with unnecessary risk.
  • meet the needs of people today and in the future in an accessible, equitable and efficient manner.

Green energy sources include:
  • Solar Energy is the Sun’s radiant light and heat that has been harnessed by using a range of evolving technologies to produce energy. The most common technologies used are photovoltaic (creating electricity) and solar thermal (heating air and water). The energy captured by these technologies can be used to provide electricity to the grid, or to offset energy needs that would have otherwise been produced using other fuel sources.
  • Biomass & Biogas are both derived from combustible plant and animal materials that can be used to produce heat and power. Biogas is processed into a gas, while biomass is used as a solid. While these fuels do emit carbon, they are considered renewable. Unlike fossil fuels, the carbon emitted by biofuels can be recaptured in a single life-cycle by re-growing the source fuel, making them carbon neutral.
  • Wind Power is created by capturing the force of the wind and converting it into electricity, typically using technologies such as wind turbines. Friction caused by the wind’s forces spins the turbine and is converted to electricity.
  • Water Power or hydroelectric power is typically produced by harnessing the force of falling or flowing water to turn a turbine. Like wind power, it uses the friction created to generate electricity. Water power can also be used for peaking power, by storing water in reserves for later use. Hydroelectric power is the most widely used form of renewable energy.

BGE letters

So you've signed up for an alternative energy supplier and are wondering if the public utility is going to hold a grudge against you, or not service you, or TP your front yard?
Absolutely not, in fact, they will be grateful that you switched. Not that most care how the public utility feels, but it should put your mind at ease knowing your service, and billing, will remain exactly the same, AND you will put money in your pocket every month, AND you can feel good about helping the environment by greening the grid!

Please see the enclosed letter I received yesterday. It is one of three I received for 3 meters I have switched to a 20% green, wind derived, energy product.
Here is a link to the picture in case that is too hard to read.
http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs102.ash2/38444_10150235220740652_554955651_13537600_5770137_n.jpg
As you can see, everything stays the same, and they still call me a valuable customer twice in that letter.

So be safe in knowing you will not only save money, you will not only help green the grid, but you will also enjoy the same safety and service you've always had from your public utility.

For people in the MD/PA/NJ/CT markets, you can switch now, it takes about 90 seconds of your time. Grab your bill and make a smart decision, save your money for other things in life.

Howard County resident Mark D. Case saved a bundle by dumping Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. and signing on with an alternative electricity supplier. He points out that residents could save about 10 percent or more by doing the same. He should know. He's a top executive with BGE. "It's still one of the best-kept secrets in Maryland, and that's unfortunate," said Case, the company's senior vice president of strategy and regulatory affairs. Maryland deregulated the power business more than a decade ago to allow residential and commercial consumers to sign contracts to lock in lower electricity prices with an alternative supplier, potentially cutting their monthly bills.

The previous short article was written by Liz Kay of the Baltimore Sun. Powerful proof that BGE, and other local utilities want you to switch to an alternative provider. Alternative providers are not competing with local utilities, they are working with them, to bring you a cheaper, greener alternative!

Switch today and start saving!

It is NOT a scam!

Some people are telling me they don't believe that you can save money on your electric bill at no cost, and no risk to them.  Most people wonder, would your utility allow you to do that?  No contracts, no fees, and only 2 minutes to switch!?  No way right?  It's very easy to learn the truth, and I will tell you how:  Call your utility company  and ask them!

Still think it’s a scam?  I have heard this over and over again, from usually smart and thoughtful people. Is this world so filled with scams and deceit that people are on autopilot and won't even save money when there is NO RSIK?!  When I tell people whom I know that they can save money simply by going to a website and all they need is their electrical bill (www.lowcostbge.com), they think that I’m crazy!  It's easy it is to learn the truth, go grab a copy of your electrical bill, call your utility company using the number on the bill, and ask them about deregulation and if they want you to  switch suppliers. Go ahead, ask them, I'll bet you a dinner they want you to!
If your utility company is asking you to switch, you’ll know for CERTAIN it is not a scam!  Click here to learn why they want you to switch.

It's time for you to save some money, dammit!  …and help the environment too!

Go here for my number and call me, or sign up! It's free, no contracts, no fees, just SAVINGS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!

Working WITH, not against the public utility.

Many people, myself included, originally were of the impression that alternative energy companies were in competition with the local utilities.
This is not the case. Local utilities, by law can not profit from the generation of electricity, due to deregulation. They still "get us" with service, billing, and delivery!
Alternative companies supply the energy, at a lower cost, and NOTHING else changes. Your bills still look the same, your public utility still services you, and they are the provider of last resort, should your alternative company go away for some reason.
Here is an example of a bill,
http://www.teamv.net/files/viridian-bge-bill.pdf

As you can see, it looks identical, except for one line item.

So do your part for the environment, AND for your wallet, change today!
